Perhaps in your family, no one can get married at their flower age. Perhaps even those who do get married at a later age are not able to settle a home for even a year! Perhaps in your family, all the men become promiscuous or drunkards at a certain age. Or it might be that in your school, there is a certain program that no one has been able to pass the exams of it. Or that in your business, no one is able to climb the corporate ladder and stay there for more than a year! Perhaps in your family, no one can own a business and those who try to set up one dies instantly. No man in your family has ever prospered! Or that it is a trend that every woman in your family goes through unbearable pains during child birth. Perhaps menstrual pains and disorders are associated with the women in your family and everyone goes through it. Maybe the enemy has bought your family and no one has been able to worship God or do the ministry of God. Those who try slip and fall and that is it! In a family, perhaps no one has been able to go beyond high school in education; there is no record of a university graduate! How many of these patterns can we identify ourselves and our family with? You are that remnant of God in your family! As far as God is truly your God, you remain in the family and yet the evil pattern cannot mess you up! He is your Defender! There are other people still remaining in your family as well, and if only you will pray to God also on their behalf, God will dismantle the pattern of the enemy and make you take root and bear fruit! You’ve got the power to change the evil pattern in your family, what are you waiting for?! God is waiting for you to pray to Him.

Our Spiritual ascension is determined by how much time we spend with God. The Spiritual altitude of every leader is determined by his discipline in prayer and commitment of obedience. When the leaders begin to wait on the Lord, He equips them to ascend into the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus which in turn frees them from the corruptions of carnality. You can then run and not be weary. Moreover walk and not faint. The life of discipleship must be initiated through relationship with the Lord not by just teaching principles of discipleship. The enemy has weakened the Church by distracting the leadership with much needed ministerial activities hence they have failed to wait on the Lord. Many have been pressured to minister to the congregation rather than ministering to the Lord.

The Lord starts of the prayer with “Our Father”. It is interesting to note that He is not just our individual Father but OUR FATHER. Therefore our approach must be in line with that statement. Your prayer utterance, your piety or dynamics of worship must be based on this foundation. You must approach him with His family in mind. Your personal approach must be kept in the family perspective. The excellency of your prayer is not measured by just what you say before God but your relationship with men. Your relationship with people validates your prayer approach. If you are offended, bitter or living in unforgiveness, your piety, your prayer utterance is nullified.
