Do you know that most of the time you are a hindrance to yourself because of the way you perceive yourself? You can be the greatest enemy to your success by how you see yourself. What really matters is not what people say or think about you but what YOU say and think about yourself.
Moses sent twelve men to spy the Promised Land. Twelve men witnessed the fruitfulness of the land as well as giants in the land. Ten of the men embraced the obstacles, challenges and all the negative aspects of the land. In the reference scripture they said in their own eyes they saw themselves as grasshoppers and the giants also saw them as such. According to their own confession, they saw themselves as insignificant, puny and incapable. Two of the spies, Joshua and Caleb, told the people that they could overcome the giants. They held on to the word God had spoken to them that He had prepared the land just for them.
You have probably been beaten down by people and life experiences around you. You hear whispers in your head of how useless you are because of your past experiences or your background. You don’t see yourself worthy of a man’s love. Maybe you’re not educated to the level society deems will enable you to succeed and do what God wants you to. Maybe you’ve been offered a promotion and don’t think you’re qualified, or that you are about to venture into ministry or start your own magazine. YOU CAN DO IT no matter what it is!!! I’m a wife, mother of five, a Pastor’s wife, a minister, an entrepreneur, an aspiring author, and the President of GLOW, among other things. There have been challenges and numerous obstacles and times I felt I wasn’t qualified for any of these blessings but I’ve learned to hold on to God’s word to me.
God knows you can do it and has destined you to do it. Just know that whatever you NEED now and will EVER need is already in you!! Every potential and gift is already in you and sometimes you have to take a step of faith to see your potential unfold. Hold on to His word. He says that you are complete in Him who is the head of all principalities and powers.
“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power” – Colossians 2:10
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” – Philippians 4:13
You can fulfill purpose; you have been called to lead and YOU can do it! You have been called to organize and YOU can do it! Overcome your fear and see yourself the way God sees you. You have been ordained to take dominion and to rule and reign where God has located you. You are not insignificant, useless and weak. You have a purpose to fulfill. Rise up child of God! There are many waiting on what God has placed in you; their deliverance and healing depends on you. Step up in Jesus’ name, Amen!
